On a lazy day I really don’t want to stand in the kitchen all day, and I’m not really a fanatic of take-away so here’s my simple, cheap (always) and easy noodle and prawn meal. Ok, I really consider this a snack… Heheh. Notice the smoke coming off the noodles? Awesome right? Imagine the smell. Fresh!
This can easily be a side dish or an accompaniment to any meat or even have a side of garlic bread to fill you up that little bit more and make it a whole meal.
I used little veg to the dish however you can add as many or as little as you like. You could even use a frozen stir fry to use instead if you have some in your freezer. I also decided to go with frozen jumbo king prawns, so juicy, (salivates at the thought)
Making sure you stir these ingredients around as not to burn them. No one likes burned food it’s icky. Lol.
Just char your vegetables enough and then you can proceed with the next step.
Which is to boil your noodles. Heat up a pan with water enough for the water to cover them and bring the water to a boil before adding your noodles. I did not add salt to this because all these spices already will have enough salt.
I bought a Sainsbury’s brand Egg Noodle package but it doesn’t have to be from there it can be any shop and you can use the noodles you prefer. I like the Egg Noodle because it really soaks up the juices from the other food and spices really well which is lovely.
Once your noodles are boiled drain off some of the water but keep a little bit to add to your pan so they are not as dry
Add your noodles a dash of Dark Soy sauce et voilà (there you go!)
